Opposing forces. Logic and instinct. Survival or self-sacrafice? Our film's main character has to make a grave decision in wake of these thoughts. Andor is a mine rat. He had been nurturing a very close friendship with the local miners and considers those working there part of his family. One day he senses trouble in a fresh passage. His rat companions are fleeing. His instincts would drive him out with the others, but a single man remains there, unaware. A prejudiced engineer, Sándor.
