METU’s partnership with the prestigious Northumbria University provides our students unique opportunities to continue their studies in the UK with discounted tuition fees and to receive a valuable degree from Northumbria University. 

Study opportunities at Northumbria for METU students 

Students and graduates of METU have the option to study at Northumbria University‘s undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the fields of business and finance with 30% tuition fee discount. This is an outstanding opportunity to get a UK degree for a much lower tuition fee! 

Programs for METU students 

Students currently enrolled at METU can continue their studies at Northumbria’s undergraduate (Top-Up) programs with 30% tuition fee discount. 

3+1 Top-Up programs 

Students have the opportunity to finish their studies in the UK after completing their third year of studies at METU, to and allowing them to gain a full UK Honours degree in one year of full-time study at Northumbria University.

2+2 Top-Up program 

Students studying finance and accounting also have the option to apply to Northumbria’s BSc (Hons) Accounting and Finance program after their second year at METU, allowing them to finish their studies in the UK with a 2-year top-up program.

Programs for METU graduates and postgraduates 

METU graduates and postgraduates have the opportunity to get an additional UK degree in only one or two years of full-time study with 30% tuition fee discount. 

METU Bachelor’s programs’ graduates can gain a BA/BSc Honours degree after one year of full-time study at Northumbria. 

METU Master’s programs’ postgraduates can gain an MA/MSc degree after two years of full-time study at Northumbria.

Application process and requirements 

METU students wishing to continue their studies at Northumbria can submit their application after selecting their desired course via the london.northumbria.ac.uk/courses/ website.

In order to claim the 30% discount from the tuition fee, applicants must mention that they are students or graduates of Budapest Metropolitan University. 

The application page is specifically for the London campus. METU students also have the option to study at the Newcastle campus, in which case they are advised to contact the university first. 

Requirements for METU students 

• High school certificate 
• Curriculum and transcripts of 4 completed semesters 
• IETS 6.0 level English skills (There’s no need for a certificate. If the applicant has no IELTS, their language skills will be tested during a Skype interview. The interview has no additional fee.) 
• Resume and CV (from high school until date of application, date and month required) 
• Motivation letter (Why would you like to study in London and at Northumbria? What are your career plans?) 
• Copy of passport 

Requirements for METU graduates  

• Diploma certificate 
• IETS 6.0 level English skills (There’s no need for a certificate. If the applicant has no IELTS, their language skills will be tested during a Skype interview. The interview has no additional fee.)

Application deadlines 

Applications are open on a rolling basis. Programs at Northumbria start in September and January, but international students can arrive until October and February as well.
