Students' and Employees' health are of utmost importance for METU. We still don’t know about any coronavirus cases at the university.
Also, the uninterrupted operation of the university is important in these challenging times. At the current situation, our aim is to aid students finish the Spring semester: get practical grades & exam grades and get the necessary knowledge to pass these tests and exams.
In order to achieve these goals, the management of the university implemented the following rules and notified all students and staff about them:
- The teaching continues from tomorrow (13 March 2020) in a distance-learning format. All schedules and deadlines remain the same.
- During the distance-learning period, all classes start at the normal times, the primary platform to use is Coospace.
- The distant classes start at the announced times on the page of the class where the professors will inform the students about the further teaching method.
- The participants of the distant teaching can use different solutions for the classes. The organization of the classes will be aided by guidance worked out by the Insitute of Methodology.
Allprecautionary measures introduced by the university previously are still in effect. Following all of these measures is of utmost importance during the state of emergency as well. The university asked all colleagues not to travel to the most infected regions, not to host guests from these areas and all international travels must be avoided unless they are of vital importance. We also ask our students not to travel abroad in their free time either in order to keep the student community safe.
