The Budapest Metropolitan University Team – METU5 together with an ELTE student has participated in the EduHack 2021 with the focus on the future of education. Participants from METU were Angela Paula Stander 3^rd (final year) International Relations, Linh Chi Phan Minh 1^st Year Commerce and Marketing, Luca Szakács 1^st year International studies, Yuya Higa 1^st year preparatory program for Communication MA, and from ELTE – Nato Japiashvili 2^nd year student of Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Programme of Research and Innovation in Higher Education (MaRIHE). 

The Hackathon was organised by the University of Warsaw Incubator, together with its partner universities: METU, Universität Bonn, Charles University (Prague), University of Palacky (Olomouc). 

István Vilmos Kovács, vice rector of METU took part in the international panel discussion of the event on how Covid 19 has changed learning and teaching.

The students worked in 3-6 member groups for three days on their invention, changing the educational scenery.   METU5 (the name of the METU team) has introduced the idea of creating a university-based platform for students (with the focus on international first-year students, who just transferred from secondary education to the university) which will support sharing experience and knowledge regarding various characteristics of learning and teaching (and beyond). The main source of the communication will be categorised forum. Alumni will be also invited on the platform for sharing internship opportunities or giving profession-related advice. Furthermore, additional space was allocated for sharing/requesting/selling reading materials in an environmentally friendly manner.
