Read the thoughts and first-hand experiences of our student, Adriana, to get an exclusive insight into our International Relations BA program!

What can you learn on the International Relations program?

International Relations is a very interesting and complete program, where all the subjects are interrelated, and the curriculum is exceptionally rich.

In this major, you can learn about applied statistics, global cultural anthropology, macroeconomics, microeconomics, international ethics, political communication techniques, international protocol and etiquette, and so much more next to those mentioned here.

You can apply this knowledge in order to understand international affairs and politics in depth, as well as in negotiating with people from other countries.

My specialization is Diplomacy and International Communication. You can definitely profit from the skills you acquire at METU if your dream is to become a diplomat, a political advisor, or an international journalist.

Is International Relations the right program for me?

I would highly recommend this major to anyone who is interested in politics, global affairs, diplomacy, and also to anyone who enjoys writing and communicating about these topics.

Why study at METU?

METU is an accredited university offering a wide range of useful and interesting majors in English. One of the main aspects that caught my attention from METU is its very international and diverse student body, along with its friendly and capable staff. Another major advantage of Budapest Metropolitan University it its location in one of the best cities for international students.

I would recommend METU to any student - it is a great university and one of the best choices anyone can make for their future. Here you will receive proper training and knowledge, from well-prepared and capable professors. This will enable any student to achieve any goal they have.

Favorite course

My favorite course is Diplomacy. I took it on my second semester, and it remains one of my favorite courses I have ever taken. The topics we covered in that course were really useful, and I felt like I really learned something new after every lecture we had.

Favorite teacher

My favorite teacher is Dr. Viktor Friedmann. He always encourages students to do their best, and he is a very well-prepared and brilliant professor. I am also grateful for the guidance of all my professors who have helped me throughout these years.
