The Innovation Bootcamp 2020 for future innovators
The online course of Innovation Bootcamp (12 Oct - 27 Nov 2020) ended in December 2020, in where a student of the Budapest Metropolitan University also participated. This e-course is a combination of online tutoring moments, self study, coaching moments and hands-on assignments. Most assignments are made as a collaboration in groups, some others were on individual basis.
Budapest Metropolitan University participated as a partner university in this training in collaboration with Media University of Stuttgart (Hochschule der Medien). During the six-week course, students had the opportunity to learn about topics such as how-to build a startup company, innovation and creative thinking, as well as getting a taste of the world of UX design.
You can read an experience report from one of our METU students at the Innovation Bootcamp:
"Innovation Boot Camp was an interesting experience and I am glad that I was a part of it. They taught us everything about the world of startups: from mindset, how to realize it, what is needed, etc. We were taught all of these through practical work. We formed groups in the first week and from then they were taught everything we might need, so we can prepare to our next class where we had to show our own projects.
It was also interesting that the instructors and other groups gave us feedback so we were able to develop our concept. And we did in this way our prototype, business plan, consumer persona, sustainability plan and our future ideas. At the end we pitched our project before instructors, and they were acting as they’d be investors - I learned a lot. The atmosphere were relaxed during the whole course and because of that I was able to accept everything we learned. This was something that I was hoping to learn and I am very thankful to the university for giving me this chance, I am glad that I was able to represent Budapest Metropolitan University.
Once again thank you very much for giving me this opportunity and experience.”
