Three METU professors to receive state awards
In recognition of their decades of excellent work, three outstanding lecturers of our university received a high-ranking state award: Ildikó Nagy, dr. Erzsébet Noszkay and dr. Jolán Róka.
On 29 October this year, in Pest Vigadó, Tamás Schanda, Parliamentary and Strategic State Secretary of the Ministry of Innovation and Technology (ITM), presented the state awards, where three of our three METU professors’ work also was awarded.
Prof. Dr. Erzsébet Noszkay is an economist, a Professor Emeritus of the METU Institute of Business Sciences, the founding chairman of the Knowledge Management Subcommittee of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. For her epoch-making work in the field in management science, corporate consulting, and change management, and in recognition of her significant publication and professional public activities, she received the award of the civic section of the Knight's Cross of the Hungarian Order of Merit.
Ildikó Nagy, a protocol expert, Honorary Associate Professor at the Institute of Tourism and Marketing, in recognition of her outstanding work as an educator, educational organizer, curriculum developer, and talent nurturer in the field of protocol and behavioral culture, received the civic section of the Hungarian Golden Cross of Merit.
Dr. Jolán Róka, lecturer at the Institute of Communication Sciences, former scientific and international vice-rector of the Budapest College of Communication and Business (BKF), in recognition of her work as a researcher and educator in the field of communication and media science, as well as her role in scientific public life at international level, was also awarded the civic section of the Hungarian Golden Cross of Merit.
